Before You Order.

Prepare Your Area.

  • Remove weeds and debris.

  • Install any hardscapes or planter beds and edging.

  • Prepare a rough grade by filling low spots, ensuring the grade falls away from the house, and about an inch lower than hardscapes and beds.

  • Add compost at a rate of 3-4 yards per 1000sf and rototill 4-6 inches in depth.

  • Install a sprinkler system or ensure an existing system waters evenly and completely.

  • Rake the final grade to a smooth and uniform surface.

Measure The Area.

  • Then measure it again. Use a tape measure or measuring wheel. Pacing will give you a rough idea, but why pay for more Sod than you need, or come up short.

  • If there are curved edges around planters or patios or walkways order a little extra since there will be some scrap.

  • We always figure 5% extra to account for grade and scrap.
